Chicago in Ink: An Autobiography marks the release of the What if Women Ruled the World? commemorative print, created on the occasion of Judy Chicago’s historic collaboration with Dior for the Spring/Summer 2020 haute couture collection. The print, based on the hand-embroidered tapestry that formed the centerpiece of Dior’s runway presentation, reflects Chicago’s desire to, in her own words, “bestow upon women a sense of divinity”—a goal she achieves throughout her work, from The Dinner Party to The Birth Project and beyond.
